Officers from the Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Group found the cannabis farm yesterday afternoon, Wednesday October two, at about two.10pm.
More than 200 plants at a variety of stages of maturity had been seized from the farm which spanned all 3 floors of the creating.
A man in his twenties was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and officers mentioned the man is at present assisting police with their enquiries.
ergeant Adrian Dack, of the Hartlepool Neighborhood Security Group, mentioned: “The group have once again acted upon the facts offered by the neighborhood with a constructive outcome, far more controlled drugs have been recovered and we at present have a male in custody awaiting to be interviewed.
“This action is not just about disrupting organised crime and the production of controlled drugs, its about us taking constructive action, responding to what the neighborhood inform us they want, identifying vulnerable people today involved in organised crime and supporting these most vulnerable in society from becoming exploited by these sorts of crime. We will continue to do so but we nevertheless have to have your support and assistance.”
Yesterday’s action was performed as portion of Operation Sentinel, a tri-force operation involving Cleveland, Northumbria and Durham police, to target severe and organised crime across the area.
