CBD Medic Review
CBDMEDIC: 60-Second Summary
CBDMEDIC™ has deep ties to the pharmaceutical industry. The company is operated by Abacus Health Products, which is a subsidiary of the worldwide pharmaceutical distributor Aidance Scientific. CBDMEDIC™ is Abacus’ newest entrant in the CBD world, created last year to sell its products directly to consumers. (Previously, Abacus was only selling directly to licensed practitioners through its CBD Clinic company.) And while we’d assume the companies operate under similar safety guidelines, there’s simply not enough information on CBDMEDIC™’s site to award them the same safety badge we gave to CBD Clinic.
CBDMEDIC Brand Review
CBDMEDIC™ is the commercial arm of Abacus Health Products, which also runs CBD Clinic, a brand we’ve also reviewed. Unlike CBD Clinic, which only sells to licensed practitioners, CBDMEDIC™’s products are sold directly to customers, including a range of oils, ointments, lotions, and creams designed to help fight chronic muscle, joint, and nerve pain.
Unlike CBD Clinic, the Medic company offers no sign of a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) or any test results for the purity of their cannabidiol, so we can’t award them the safety badge. And there’s not enough information on the site about where they source their hemp from—or how it’s grown—to give them a quality badge.
But happily, they have the same dedication as CBD Clinic to natural ingredients in their products. The range of treatments include ointments and lotions for sports injuries, deep muscle and joint pain, back and neck-specific pain, and arthritis relief. And the items utilize the natural emulsifiers of camphor and menthol to help the CBD oil, as well as the other ingredients, penetrate deeply through the skin. (Other ingredients include jojoba seed oil, peppermint oil, shea butter, eucalyptus oil, and beeswax, among others.)
Prices range from $40 to $50 for a tube of the CBD-infused lotions and ointments.
Bottom line: CBD Medic shows a dedication to aiding chronic pain relief with its innovative over-the-counter pharmaceutical products, but there’s just not enough information on their cannabidiol sourcing or the testing of their current products to award them a quality or safety badge. Still, the company is operated by the same umbrella corporation—Abacus Health Products—that runs another reputable company, CBD Clinic.
