The city’s Division of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) started accepting license applications at 10 a.m. PT Tuesday and will continue till 10 a.m. Sept. 17.
The DCR verified roughly 800 certified applicants for the most current licensing round throughout a prevetting procedure that took more than two months and completed in late July, according to the agency’s web page.
Applicants that qualify for the city’s social equity system will get priority in getting their applications processed.
But only 100 retail licenses will be awarded throughout the coming application period, and they’ll be out there on a 1st-come, 1st-served basis, according to the DCR web page.
The newest licensing round comes immediately after two earlier rounds.
The 1st round was for longstanding retailers in the city that could prove they’ve been in operation considering the fact that 2007.
The second was for firms in the current provide chain such as growers and edibles makers.
But an additional upcoming licensing round will be open to the common public, but the DCR has but to announce when that will take spot.
