Utah has selected eight firms to develop cannabis for its healthcare marijuana plan set to open subsequent year.

The state’s Division of Agriculture announced the picks Friday morning. Growers are not anticipated to start out planting instantly. Licensees will nonetheless have to have to pass background checks and finalize their contracts with the state.
