The Minister of Healthcare Care of the Netherlands informed the Dutch parliament that exports of health-related cannabis flower to Germany will improve this year.
In the letter, dated July 12, the Dutch minister explained that the request for an improve came from his German counterpart, who asked for a hike in the annual volume of health-related cannabis flower shipped from the Netherlands to Germany from the existing 1,500 kilograms (roughly three,300 pounds) to two,500 (about five,500 pounds).
The request stemmed from an improve in the quantity of health-related cannabis shoppers in Germany and the reality that the nation’s domestic production will not be accessible till early 2021.
The Dutch minister pointed out in the letter to the parliament that the Netherlands’ existing production capacity can fulfill the German request.
The Netherlands now plans to export a total of two,500 kilograms to Germany in 2019 and 2020. To do that this year, the program is to ship 1,500 kilograms by August and the remaining 1,000 prior to the finish of December.
