A broad coalition of 10 nationwide teams has joined forces to create the Marijuana Justice Coalition to advocate for federal marijuana reform by a racial justice lens. The brand new coalition consists of ACLU, Management Convention on Civil and Human Rights, NORML, Drug Coverage Alliance, Heart for American Progress, and extra.

Immediately the group launched a set of rules for federal marijuana reform, encouraging Congress to incorporate prison justice reforms and promote variety as members develop laws. The coalition launch is timed to coincide with “ Marijuana Legal guidelines in America: Racial Justice and the Want for Reform” – the primary ever listening to in Congress to ponder an overhaul of federal marijuana legal guidelines, which can happen on Wednesday, July 10, 2019.
