At least 10,000 completely-grown marijuana plants with an estimated worth of P4 million had been uprooted in Barangay Captain Claudio, Toledo City, Cebu.
Operatives of the Toledo police station arrested Elmer Cantutay Jr., the alleged cultivator of the marijuana plantation in Sitio Himatogan.
Police Lt. Col. Janette Rafter, chief of the Toledo police, mentioned it took at least two weeks of surveillance just before the plantation was found. Rafter mentioned quite a few marijuana plantations have been uncovered in the similar location in the previous.
The discovery of the plantation allegedly owned by Cantutay came following a concerned citizen tipped off the police. Rafter mentioned Cantutay owns a massive residence close to the plantation.
