Mario Guzman, the founder of Sherbinskis, at his cannabis cultivation web site in Mendocino, Calif.
Sherbinskis, a favourite in hip-hop circles, is opening a retailer in Los Angeles that will sell style, along with cannabis.
To his die-tough fans, Mr. Sherbinski is a storied name in marijuana.
A celebrated California cultivator, he helped develop the Gelato and Sunset Sherbert strains that have been name-checked in a lot more than 200 hip-hop songs, including “First Off” by Future and “Bosses Do not Speak” by Migos.
At the Business of Fashion’s Voices conference in London final year, his brand, Sherbinskis, was introduced as “the Supreme of marijuana.”
And when Sherbinskis released its initial sneaker style final year at ComplexCon, a two-day festival of hip-hop and fashion in Lengthy Beach, Calif., the restricted-edition Nike Air Force 1 model sold out in two hours. (There is a pair at present on eBay asking more than $1,000.)
Now, devotees of the marijuana brand will have an official location to worship.
Sherbinskis lately announced plans for its initial retailer, on Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles, a handful of doors away from a Supreme boutique.
Renderings show a rooftop garden that is visible from the sidewalk (no, there will not be pot plants expanding there), and a gallery-like white space decorated with close-up photographs of marijuana buds. Haute cannabis goods for sale consist of vape pens and pre-rolled buds in Instagram-worthy orange packaging branded hoodies, fanny packs and Mophies and style collaborations.
