There is a lot of poor quality CBD on the market today due to a lack of regulation and imported products. Labeling is often inconsistent and unclear making it confusing for the customer. We put together the four most important questions to ask when shopping for CBD oil and broke down how Rosebud CBD oil compares.

Where is the hemp extract sourced from?

Always ask where and how the hemp is grown. A lot of CBD products on the market are sourced from out of the country or from biomass facilities that do not offer high-quality hemp.

Rosebud CBD oil is made from CBD-rich hemp flowers grown on U.S. soil under the Oregon sun. Rosebud CBD rich oil is comprised of CO2 extracted hemp oil mixed with fractionated coconut oil also known as MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) oil. It is pesticide, herbicide, and solvent free.

Did you know that Oregon has some of the strictest CBD regulations in the country? It’s one of the reasons why we chose to work with an Oregon farm. In Oregon, CBD products sold in licensed cannabis stores are required to pass state-mandated lab tests to assure purity and potency. As a customer, you can be confident that what is listed on the label reflects the product that is in the bottle. We choose to abide by Oregon standards to ensure the highest quality and transparency for our customers.

Is the CBD oil a full spectrum, broad or wide spectrum, or isolate?

Rosebud is a full spectrum, food grade CO2 extract. Our full spectrum oil is multi-use and safe to consume by mouth or use topically on skin. Full spectrum refers to a vibrant and diverse cannabinoid profile, meaning it preserves all of the therapeutic cannabinoids found in hemp. In a 2015 study, researchers found that, in comparison to CBD isolate, full spectrum CBD offers higher levels of relief. We believe that our customers should have access to whole plant medicine rather than an isolate, which is just the singular extracted compound.

What other ingredients are in the CBD oil?

Every CBD product should include a clear ingredient list and/or a food lab test result.

Rosebud CBD oil contains NO additives, flavorings, sweeteners or preservatives. Our product includes only two ingredients: CO2 extracted hemp oil and fractionated coconut oil also known as MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) oil.

Cannabinoids are fat soluble and are most effective when consumed with fat. Coconut oil contains saturated fat which helps the body absorb the cannabinoid. Using MCT oil allows for a relatively rapid release of cannabinoids compared to other oils. MCT oil is also directly metabolized into energy allowing your body to burn those fats and put the cannabinoids they hold to use right away.

Is it third-party lab tested?

Operating in an unregulated market makes way for just about anyone to launch a CBD company, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the product is of quality or contains what the packaging states. Always look for a third-party lab test and individual batch reports.

At Rosebud CBD, we push our organically sun-grown hemp through a randomized, controlled study testing 32 or more units of each formula. From there, our farm tests every batch of organically sun-grown hemp to ensure the formula is consistent. Rosebud takes it one step further by performing its own third-party lab tests.

Rosebud’s test results.

We believe our customers deserve full transparency and peace of mind. Know what you are buying and using through our third-party testing results. Every batch of CBD oil processed goes through rigorous testing following Oregon’s hemp laws which are some of the strictest regulations in the nation.
