Gus Daibis, who opened Sidewalk Wellness on 21st Street earlier this month, discovered the tough way. The co-owner of the nearby Sidewalk Juice chain was checking his e-mail final Tuesday when two inspectors from the San Francisco Division of Public Overall health walked into his shop.

All of Daibis’s edible things had to be taken off the shelves and place into storage, which for Daiblis, is a key loss — he estimates $25,000 to $30,000.

“The purpose why I opened the shop is my aunt has [multiple sclerosis], and a couple other folks in my loved ones use CBD,” Daibis mentioned. “We’re firm believers.”

They are not alone. Assemblywoman Cecilia Aguiar-Curry (D-Winters) in January introduced a bill that would legalize the sale of hemp derived CBD edible and cosmetic goods. She wanted to guard hemp farmers and had also caught wind of some nearby enforcement on retailers all through the state. “I do not have to have a person going out of enterprise simply because of this,” Aguiar-Curry told Mission Neighborhood.
