Inform the Hemp Authority your thoughts about its certification system prior to April 15.

I not too long ago wrote about deficiencies in the certification system proposed by the Hemp Authority that are regarding to a quantity of business stakeholders. You can study our open letter about the program right here.

In response to the open letter, we have been invited to a meeting in Anaheim, CA held by the Authority and its sponsors, the Hemp Roundtable and the Hemp Business Association. I wrote about that meeting right here.

As a outcome, on March 20, 2019, the Hemp Roundtable circulated a request for comments about the system. I note that the Hemp Authority web page suggests that it has been soliciting public comments for more than two weeks, considering that March five having said that, this does not seem to be the case. The meeting in Anaheim was held on March four. In a March 13 e mail response to an inquiry I produced about when it would solicit comments, I was told that the notice with regards to comments “will be on the website”. The Hemp Roundtable’s March 20 e mail seems to be the initially public solicitation for comments.

The Hemp Authority desires your comments on its certification system, which it is calling “Guidance Program 1.“, so that it can revise it into “Guidance program two.0”. You can comment by clicking right here. The deadline for commenting is April 15, 2019.

The Hemp Authority has stated that comments should really include things like “particular guidance language for any new provisions that commenters think should really be incorporated in Guidance Program two.. We will only think about comments that present the commenter’s name, e mail and/or telephone quantity.

Please let your business pals and colleagues know about this essential matter. Really feel no cost to share this write-up. Thank you.
