The Washington Senate has passed a measure that tends to make it less difficult for individuals with earlier misdemeanor marijuana possession convictions to have these convictions vacated.

The bill passed on a 29-19 vote Monday and now heads to the Residence for consideration. The vote comes two months right after Gov. Jay Inslee announced his strategy to pardon individuals convicted of possession charges, and a lot more than six years right after the state legalized adult use of recreational marijuana.
