A man from Sedalia, Colorado is facing federal charges just after allegedly obtaining sold marijuana to middle college students. According to the Division of Justice, the cannabis was coated in methamphetamine.

Authorities received a tip in autumn of 2018 that 47-seven-year-old John Bruce Fifield had allegedly been generating marijuana sales to an unknown quantity of students at Woodland Park Middle College.

3 days just after police located numerous students with drug paraphernalia, the Teller County Sheriff’s Workplace Narcotics Group received a tip that Fifield was supplying the products and drugs to the students.

According to KDVR, Fifield was charged with distribution of marijuana and methamphetamine on January 18 and was indicted by a federal grand jury on February 7.

“The nature of this investigation is quite disturbing for the youth of our nation,” stated DEA Specific Agent in Charge William McDermott in a news release. “The DEA is committed to guarding our kids from cycle of drug abuse.”

United States Lawyer Jason Dunn stated that, since the case entails young kids, the prosecution will aggressively pursue mandatory minimum sentencing.
